The Women’s Missions and Ministries Office of the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma seeks to encourage women to embrace and echo God’s heart for the world. We assist Southern Baptist churches in Oklahoma as they seek to reach and disciple women with God’s word. We coordinate several major events throughout the year, provide consultation to women’s ministries and offer leadership development to women who are leading women in the local church.

Because God has a heart to reach the nations, our office has a priority of encouraging women to pray, give, send and go to every mission field God has entrusted to us. We encourage women to participate in missions in their local communities as well as participate in going overseas. We partner with the North American Missions Board and the International Mission Board, both agencies of the Southern Baptist Convention.

Our office consists of two full time employees, Kelly King and Kristin Harris. Kelly is the Women’s Missions and Ministries Specialist and has been in this position since August, 2005. Prior to working at the BGCO, Kelly was the Women’s Ministry Director at Council Road Baptist Church in Bethany, Oklahoma.

Kristin Harris is the Ministry Assistant for the office. She began her work full time in June, 2008. She is a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Piano and Applied Ministry.
